Description
Stillpoints Rectifier is a patented noise reduction circuit that connects at the IEC of the piece of electronics being used. The Rectifier filters both the incoming AC current and also filters the AC current leaving the component before it contaminates the AC current going to other components in your system.
One will notice a blacker background, smoother and sweeter high frequencies, a larger sound stage and an overall greatly improved performance. This solution works at the source to remove unwanted noise before it enters the audio chain.
Installation
Installation is straightforward. First, turn off the entire system. Remove the end cap, then remove the sleeves. Insert the Rectifier into a DAC, or CD player and then add the AC cable. Shims are provided for loose fitting terminals. Spread the three legs of the Rectifier as far away from any other cable as possible.
Start with all the sleeves off. Listen, then place one sleeve on the white lead and listen.
Then, place a sleeve on the green lead and listen.
And finally place a sleeve on the black lead.
If one is using multiple Rectifiers, note that the effect will be cumulative. Depending on your equipment and RFI environment you may need all or none of the sleeves. It’s also possible to cut down the sleeves as required.
